Jonava Jeronimas Ralys Gymnasium

Founded in 1941, it is one of the oldest schools in Jonava. Today, more than 700 pupils study in the modern gymnasium.

The gymnasium has recently been renovated with a new theatre hall: a stage platform, draperies, lighting and sound systems. The new technological equipment was designed and installed by Scenos Techninis Servisas (StS).

The stage was installed in the theatre hall by creating a stage platform. Black stage drapes were hung around the perimeter of the stage. The dark walls and the stage floor create a neutral space, allowing the lighting possibilities to be exploited. The curtains are not only decorative, but also acoustic. In the same way as in a classical theatre, there is a front curtain walkway and the front curtain is opened for the start and end of the performances.

The front lighting bridge consists of six theatrical-type Chauvet DJ Eve floodlights. These fixtures are distinguished by their colouring capabilities: they allow the creation of vivid scenography and atmosphere for events. The lighting system is controlled by an Obey 70 console from the Chauvet DJ series.

The sound system consists of QSC K10 loudspeakers, an audio control panel and a set of microphones. This system is ideal for concerts and musical performances, so that the theatre can be used for other activities.

This renovation is a significant change for the school’s theatre company, which is renowned for its strong productions. The professional equipment provides new opportunities for both teachers and students to realise their creative ideas.
